Hello dears,
I’m here to blog because I don’t see anyone online. This computer here is much better than the one I used in Bangkok! ^^
I’m inVietnam, Sapa now. It’s kind of a more village like place. I’m free now to use the computer and there’s free internet in the hotel! (: Currently waiting for time to pass, as the guide will be back to fetch us to move on to another place at 4pm. Visited the villages and walked a lot yesterday and today. We took a night train over on thursday and will be leaving for Hanoi later on.
Life here is totally different from Singapore. The people here live very simple lives and are rather uncivilised. I can’t transfer the photos over yet, so no pictures for now. But it’s like the houses are really small and the places they live in. And they will keep trying to sell stuffs to you, but we don’t really get to use them. They can follow you for really long distances, just to get you to buy their stuffs. Really shows great perseverence. In the end, my mother just gave them the money.
Makes me feel that I’m living such a blessed life and yet we still always complain. My mom told me that these people here are also created by God, but take a look at their lives and our lives, it’s such a vast difference. And they go everywhere on bus 11. They walk long distances for 2+ hours just to get to the town so that they can sell their stuffs, and in some cases, children spend one and a half days to walk to school.
I’ve walked a lot here. Walked 3km yesterday and 4.5 km today. And it’s not flat roads okay! It’s like filled with stones and a lot of uphill paths. And on thursday when I got to the airport, the sole of my shoe came off. Cause I think I didn’t wear the shoe for a long time. It was just terrible because I haven’t even begun on the journey and my shoe was spoilt! So I needed to get super glue desperately to glue it back. I was at T1 but then the 7/11 there had no super glue. I had to drag my feet along to take the skytrain to T2 then bought the glue. But in the process of sticking the sole, my fingers were filled with glue. Totally terrible cause you couldn’t even wash it off. At least thank God the glue was so super that it managed to stick on. I’m still moving around with that shoe now!
Okay, end of story. This is such a wordy post. I’m bored now. Someone please come online! Youtube doesn’t work on this computer, so no hptx ): And, I forgot what’s the password of my devotional email. I still have 2 more hours to spare…
